That moment you lock eyes with a stranger in line, but now it's just heads down
I was at the grocery store yesterday, and I remembered how a decade ago, I met my guitar teacher because we both grabbed the same vinyl record. We started talking and hit it off. Now, everyone in line is glued to their phones, and those little moments seem rare. Some folks argue that this is bad, saying we lose out on real, unexpected friendships. On the flip side, I've heard people say they make cool connections through random online game chats or neighborhood apps. Just last year, I joined a local board game night after a quick talk in a store aisle, so it's not all gone. But I wonder if the digital world is replacing the old-school bump-into-you kind of meet. What do you all think - are we trading one type of chance for another?
