The bus stop conversation that got me a job in Tulsa

Last Tuesday I was waiting for the 7:40 bus and this older guy asked if I had a light, then we just started talking about his lawn care business. Turns out he needed someone to handle his scheduling and accounts, and I had just been laid off from an office gig the week before. He gave me a card and now I start Monday, so has anyone else landed something good just from chatting with a stranger?
