TIL my patio project used over 800 pavers

My shed base needed 650 blocks and I was sure the guy at the yard counted wrong. Seeing them stacked in the driveway was a real gut check. I ended up renting a truck for a second load because my first guess was so off. It taught me to always do the math twice before I even start pricing things out.

Vent: My neighbor said my sauerkraut smelled like a 'chemical spill' and told me to stop

That "sharp, vinegary smell" comment got me. My old roommate said my kimchi fridge smelled like a science experiment gone wrong. He'd open the door and just freeze for a second. I started keeping it in a sealed container inside another container, which felt a bit silly in my own place. It's a tough spot between being polite and just wanting to enjoy your food.

Serious question, I saw a woman in a coffee shop last week wearing a jacket with sleeves that were two different fabrics, one tweed and one silk, and it looked amazing.

Try it on a mannequin first to see how it hangs, lol.

Appreciation post: my bathroom vanity faucet gave out on a Sunday morning...

Tell me about it. Had my water heater give up the ghost on a holiday Monday last year, and it was a total nightmare. Spent hours just trying to find someone who would even answer the phone. You end up paying the "weekend emergency" fee, which is basically a "your life is ruined" tax.

Pro tip: a cheap plastic putty knife saved my kitchen floor last week

Snapped clean off a Klein tool? That's wild, those things are built like tanks. I've put mine through absolute hell. You must have hit it at the perfect wrong angle.
