Can we talk about that writers conference panel that made me rethink my whole approach

I was at a small local conference in Portland last spring and this one author on a panel said she writes her endings first, then builds the story backward. I tried it on my latest prompt and got through something I'd been stuck on for 2 months. Has anyone else found a weird trick like that that works for them?

Tried switching from paper to digital invoices for my roofing crew last month... what a disaster.

Spent 3 days setting up QuickBooks on my phone only to have it crash mid-estimate on a $12k job in El Paso. Has anyone else found paper estimates just work better for keeping track of materials on site?

I finally quit using salt in my sauerkraut brine after a forum guy called me out

Some dude on here told me my kraut was getting mushy because I was adding salt directly instead of mixing it into the water first. I'd been doing it that way for two years and never thought about it. So I tried his method last batch, mixed the salt with water before pouring it over the cabbage. Results were way crunchier after three weeks. Anybody else have a small tweak like that totally change their ferment game?

My $28 fancy salt turned out to be exactly the same as the $2 stuff

I bought a jar of Himalayan pink salt from a farmers market in Portland for $28 thinking it would taste better on my roasted veggies. My friend blind taste-tested me on it vs regular table salt and I couldn't tell the difference at all. Has anyone else wasted money on gourmet ingredients that just aren't worth it?

Ace Garage Storage vs Smarterhome for motorized storage?

I'm trying to decide between Ace Garage Storage and Smarter home for a motorized ceiling lift. Both seem like good DIY kits. Does anyone have experience with either of these brands?
