Got bent on a 90 foot bounce dive in Pascagoula and the tender never checked my gauge
I was working a dock job in Pascagoula back in April and got sent down to 90 feet on a bounce dive to cut some tangled cable off a piling. My tender never once asked me my pressure and never logged my bottom time, and I was so green I didn't say anything myself. Came up feeling off with a sore shoulder, told myself it was just from hauling on the cable, and by that night I couldn't bend my arm right. Two days later a doc confirmed a mild hit and I sat a table in Mobile while my crew shipped out without me. So tell me straight, does anybody actually run a real tender log anymore or is everyone just trusting the diver to watch his own clock?
