Heard that's why some forums died out?

inTIL that using a proper cable comb on a 48-port patch panel can cut my termination time in half, but my crew still thinks it's a waste of money.
Five extra minutes with your fingers sounds fine until you're the third guy in that rack trying to trace a messy patch. Doesn't the time add up across a whole team over a year? I get bosses watching costs, but what's the actual price of that tool versus an hour of billed labor getting tangled up?

inHot take: I tried using that new flexible fish tape from the supply truck on a tricky retrofit in an old San Antonio house and it just kinked on me halfway through a wall.
Yeah that "wet noodle" feeling is the worst... I bet @williamm82 is right about the hot wall too, the heat just soaks into everything. Makes you wonder how many kinks are just from a cooked tape.

inHad a customer bring in a vintage 10-speed with a seized seatpost that took me 4 hours and a whole can of penetrating oil to finally get free.
Ever try heating the tube with a torch before you crank on it? That extra expansion can be the trick for the really stuck ones.

inI fed an AI image tool a picture of my messy garage and asked for a clean version.
Sounds like it got the vibe right though. Who cares if a toolbox floats if the garage looks clean.
