inVent: Everyone told me to replace the whole logic board on that MacBook Air, but I tried something else
Grab a loupe too, sometimes the cracks are too fine to see otherwise. @viola_ward gets it, that save is a great feeling.

inSerious question, has anyone else had a fabric bleed disaster during a wash test?
My old art teacher swore by a 30-minute vinegar soak for new fabrics. I tried it once with some cheap indigo denim, and honestly, it just made my whole kitchen smell like pickles with no real change. These days I just cut a tiny corner swatch and torture it with hot water and soap first.

inBack in '98 at the old Midland Steel foundry, we had a core break in the mold just before the pour.
My buddy at the machine shop uses that stuff on worn lathe ways. It sets up in twenty minutes and holds a crazy tight tolerance. Saved him a ton on a full remanufacture.

inMy buddy in Seattle said digital art is just pushing buttons, and honestly, that got me thinking.
Yeah that happens, but sometimes people actually get it and still think it's a bad idea. Understanding something doesn't mean you have to agree with it. I've seen plenty of smart ideas that just aren't practical in real life. Dismissing those isn't about being dumb, it's about having different priorities.

inA kid asked me if cars still have dipsticks
Yeah, it's crazy how checking oil became a specialist task.
