inOverheard a guy at the 'Big City Bites' truck say he'd driven 20 miles for their bulgogi fries. Tried them. He was right.
Ever think food truck food isn't worth a real trip? I did. Then I had the kimchi tacos from that truck by the old warehouse. Now I get it.

inSpent three days on a walnut slab table only to have the finish cloud up overnight

inHot take: I chose a 3/8 inch drill over a 1/2 inch for crawl spaces and it's better

inStopped at a gas station in Flagstaff and saw a guy fermenting hot sauce in his trunk
It's funny how we get stuck on the idea that things need perfect conditions. My grandma used to make yogurt by just wrapping the pot in a towel and leaving it on the counter overnight. The kombucha in a car trunk is the same kind of idea, just using what you have. There's a whole lot of making do and clever fixes that happen outside of fancy kitchens. It reminds me that a lot of good stuff gets made when people just work with the warmth they can find.
