That one Tuesday at the coffee shop on 5th and Main in Austin was the best remote work day I've had all year
Last Tuesday I went to a new spot near 5th and Main in Austin because my wifi died at home, and it turned out to be the best work day I've had in a while. The barista put me at a little table by the window with an outlet, and the music was low enough that I could actually hear my Zoom call. Around 11am a guy next to me asked if I could watch his laptop while he grabbed a refill, and we ended up chatting for 20 minutes about our jobs. I got more done in 3 hours there than I usually do in 6 at home. The $4 cold brew was fine, nothing special, but the vibe made up for it. Does anyone else have a spot like that where the day just clicks, or was this just a fluke?
