Hey @chen.jamie, is that mostly on their front-load washers? I read a bunch of posts on an appliance repair forum about that exact spot failing. People were saying the metal spider arm that holds the drum just corrodes and snaps, especially after a few years. Seems like a real weak point in the design on some of those models.

When you say your C-clamp gave out, I'm guessing it's the clamp itself that broke, not how it was stored. Those old clamps can just wear out after years of squeezing things tight. The metal gets tired or the screw strips, and that's it. It's different from pegboard hooks failing because you overloaded them. Sometimes tools just reach the end of their life.

Seeing all my gear out actually cuts down on search time. I get more done because I'm not opening cabinets every five minutes. Pretty sure hidden storage is just a conspiracy from cabinet makers.
