Warning: These new washer drums crack after just two years now.

Hey @chen.jamie, is that mostly on their front-load washers? I read a bunch of posts on an appliance repair forum about that exact spot failing. People were saying the metal spider arm that holds the drum just corrodes and snaps, especially after a few years. Seems like a real weak point in the design on some of those models.

Shoutout to the pegboard I set up for my bike tools, now everything's on the floor...

When you say your C-clamp gave out, I'm guessing it's the clamp itself that broke, not how it was stored. Those old clamps can just wear out after years of squeezing things tight. The metal gets tired or the screw strips, and that's it. It's different from pegboard hooks failing because you overloaded them. Sometimes tools just reach the end of their life.

Unpopular opinion: Tearing down all walls for open concept is a DIY mistake

Keithbutler's onto something with organized chaos. My DIY space runs on six rolling bins for different tool types. After his comment, I stopped feeling bad about the clutter. Seeing all my gear out actually cuts down on search time. I get more done because I'm not opening cabinets every five minutes. Pretty sure hidden storage is just a conspiracy from cabinet makers.

Am I the only one who thought wet curing was a waste of time?

Yeah, saw a slab curl up from drying too quick last August.

One job showed me the value of a simple soil check

Ngl, I learned the hard way after a neighbor's oak smashed their garage. Now I always poke around the base before any big trim job. It's cheap insurance.
