Family can be the hardest to draw lines with. My uncle always joked about my life choices at holidays, so I skipped Christmas last year. Sometimes you have to show people their words have a real cost. It's not easy, but your peace matters more than their comfort. Why let someone keep hurting you just because you're related? Taking a break from family drama can make a huge difference.

Remember almost taking out a phone line with my boom because I didn't check the swing radius... had the load up and everything before I saw how close it was. My heart just dropped right there in the cab. Had to lower it slow and start all over again, felt like such an idiot. Now I triple check my setup even on small lifts... it's those little things that get you. Scares you straight for sure.

Tbh that extra day probably let the flavors develop more.
