My grocery bill went from $110 to $65 a week after I started shopping the markdown cart at Kroger
For about 6 months I was spending around $110 a week on food and not really getting much. Then a cashier at the Kroger on High Street in Columbus told me the meat markdown stickers hit around 8am on Tuesdays. I started going then and grabbing the 50% off stuff to freeze, and my bill dropped to $65 within a month. Last week I got two pounds of chicken thighs for $3.40 and a pork loin for $4.10. Does anyone else time their shopping around markdown schedules at their store, and if so what days work best for you?
