inTrash day led to a real chat with the neighbor
Fought off a family of raccoons that learned how to open our patio door last summer. They'd walk in like they owned the place, looking for snacks. My neighbor saw the whole thing from his window and came over with a broom to help shoo them out. We ended up patching the door seal together, laughing at how brazen they were. Now we text each other raccoon memes and keep an eye out, which is way more friendly than before.

Is skipping really so bad? Take those long video intros... after a while, you've heard the song a thousand times. @rubys80, skipping gets you to the content faster. I used to skip the news segment because it was always depressing. Now I just read the headlines online. It's about choosing what deserves your attention.

inFinally got my compost pile to heat up properly
Faith, you said you read that 140 degrees means it's working right. But working right for what exact task? If it's for sterilizing soil, that temperature might be needed to kill off weed seeds or harmful bacteria. But for general garden dirt, that seems unnecessarily hot. Where did you find that information? What specific process or equipment are they talking about?

Actually does the acid change how soft they get? Might keep them firmer, which could be bad for some dishes.

My candle collab at the fair last year was a total dud, @haydenjackson, so I'm low-key jealous.
