I messed up a big chance at the Jasper Ave business meetup
Last Friday, I went to a networking event on Jasper Ave. I talked with a person who runs a printing shop in the west end. We agreed to team up for a community event next month. I was sure I saved their card in my bag. When I got home, I found all my cards were from last year's event. Now I have no way to reach them, and the partnership is stuck. Does anyone have a sure way to keep new contacts from getting lost?

That digital card stuff just adds MORE steps to forget. The real fix is way simpler than people make it. Right after you talk, take out your own pen and write their info on the back of YOUR card before you even walk away. The physical act of writing it down cements it, and then you have it in your own stack. No tech, no extra apps, just a pen and thirty seconds of focus. Losing one card happens, but you won't lose your own whole stack.

Try shoving business cards into your wallet like they're going out of style. I did that and ended up with a receipt from 2019 instead of the coffee shop guy's number. Take a picture on your phone right away, but then you'll just have a camera roll full of blurry cards you never sort. My friend wrote a contact on a napkin and then used it to wipe up a spill. True story. Maybe we should all just get those digital card things, but then we'd have to figure out how they work.

Wait, your friend actually used the napkin to clean up a spill? That's tragically hilarious lol. The struggle is way too real.
