inI messed up a big chance at the Jasper Ave business meetup
Try shoving business cards into your wallet like they're going out of style. I did that and ended up with a receipt from 2019 instead of the coffee shop guy's number. Take a picture on your phone right away, but then you'll just have a camera roll full of blurry cards you never sort. My friend wrote a contact on a napkin and then used it to wipe up a spill. True story. Maybe we should all just get those digital card things, but then we'd have to figure out how they work.

inThe wild walk-in culture we used to have
Isn't that the truth, @corablack? I remember when my time felt totally scattered. Having that structure, even if it's busy, really does make things feel more in control. It's a good kind of full.

inWarning: I found good parts in a TV I was about to throw out.
Do people actually use gloves? I just go in bare hands, never had a problem. But yeah, maybe that's not smart...

inWhy does nobody talk about how exterior mounts are underrated?
Ever get grief from other installers for outside runs? I do it on most single room jobs too. Saves a ton of time fishing walls. Homeowners almost never look up there. Just use weatherproof cable and tidy clips, works fine.

inLost a client lunch meeting over a burnt casserole.
But I've always found that the risk of homemade stuff is part of what makes it special. Sure, you might flub a dish now and then, but people remember the effort more than a perfect cheese plate. In my experience, those awkward moments often turn into funny stories later. Giving up on cooking for guests feels like missing out on a real connection, you know? Your mileage may vary, but I'd say try again with something simpler you can't mess up.
