Appreciation post: My $300 steamer just saved a client's facial

Had a client come in yesterday with a really bad reaction to a new serum, her skin was super red and tight. I pulled out my portable facial steamer that I bought on a whim six months ago, used it with some chamomile in the water for about ten minutes. It calmed everything down enough that I could finish a gentle treatment. Has anyone else found a specific tool that's become a total game-changer for sensitive skin situations?

Really bad reaction" sounds a bit dramatic. Was it just some redness and tightness, or was her face actually swelling shut? A ten minute steam seems like a nice comfort thing, but I doubt it fixed a serious chemical burn.

Absolute lifesaver! My cheap little ice roller is that for me. I keep it in the office fridge for when clients come in with puffy, angry skin from allergies. Rolling it over their face for a few minutes brings down the swelling like nothing else. It's so simple but it makes the whole treatment possible.

So @the_alice, do you ever have to stop yourself from using it on a grumpy client?
