Have you noticed how kids (and some adults) just have to learn everything the hard way? It's like the more you warn someone about a bad idea, the more they want to prove you wrong, even when it's something as simple as cereal. Some lessons only stick after you taste them yourself, which is probably why your cousin dumped that bowl so fast.
