Honestly I had a lady bring in a pair of those old-school sewing scissors once, the big heavy ones with the brass handles. She swore they gave a cleaner line on her kid's bangs than my thinning shears. I tried one snip and it just yanked the hair, I told her I couldn't do it and she got all huffy and left. Ngl I still have that weird pair of scissors sitting in my drawer as a souvenir.

Yeah @susan130 probably saved him in the long run honestly. I bet he learned more from that one mistake than most people do from ten years of careful work. Sometimes the expensive lessons stick better than the cheap ones.
