inI finally figured out why my pour-over was always bitter after 3 months of frustration
Did I write this post in my sleep? I spent two months blaming my tap water before I found out my "precision" grinder was basically just a blender with delusions of grandeur.

inShowerthought: most people fill their mugs wrong for pour over coffee
The gooseneck kettle changed everything for me too. I used to just dump water straight from a regular kettle and wonder why my coffee was always bitter. Now I weigh everything out like a total nerd and my morning routine takes twice as long but it's worth it.

inStumbled on my credit card's 'round up' feature by accident, saved $240 in 4 months
Makes you wonder how many other 'small' features are sitting right there in plain sight, saving us money without us even knowing. It's kinda wild how little tweaks like that add up way faster than the big budgeting moves we all stress about. Sometimes the quietest tools in our wallets do the most work, don't they?

inRemember when we used to true wheels by feel and not by a dial indicator?
Dial indicators are great until they're not.

inThe $2 bread knife that almost cost me a finger at a church potluck
Man that sounds rough lol. Dull knives are honestly more dangerous than sharp ones because you gotta force them and they just bounce off whatever you're cutting. The worst I ever saw was at a family reunion where somebody brought that cheap translucent plastic handled knife from a dollar store to cut a watermelon. It literally snapped in half mid slice and the blade part flew across the table almost hit my aunt in the face. People really need to stop trusting those bargain bin tools at shared events. At least church potlucks usually have good first aid kits nearby.
