Eight months before someone pointed out my tape was too wet

So how long does it usually take you to get the right consistency? I feel like I'm always adding a little more water or a little more mud and it never ends up quite right. Do you mix it in a bucket or just on the tray?

My cheap tarp saved my tent from a river of mud last weekend

Grabbed a cheap poly tarp from Home Depot a few years back and did the exact same thing during a freak storm in the Smokies. It wasn't pretty but my tent stayed dry while my neighbor's gear was floating. That $8 investment saved my whole trip honestly. People overthink gear sometimes when a simple tarp and some cordage does the job just as well. Your janky fix sounds smarter than moving camp in the dark for sure. Sometimes the ugliest solutions work the best in my experience.

I finally tried a heavy euro game after years of light party stuff

Food Chain Magnate is brutal. One bad hire and your whole game is shot. That kind of pressure is way more fun than I thought it'd be.

Switched from hand kneading to a stand mixer after 8 years of baking

Right, so does the cleanup actually live up to the hype? I keep seeing people say it's way less hassle than a regular blender but I'm skeptical. Is it really just rinse it off and done, or is there some hidden cleaning trick nobody's mentioning?

Found out my oven runs 25 degrees hot from a simple test

My mom actually told me about this years ago and I never believed her until I tried it myself. She said most ovens lie to you by at least 20 degrees and she was totally right. I saw a YouTube video that tested like 10 different ovens and only one was exactly right, the rest were all over the place. It's honestly kind of scary how many recipes we mess up just because our ovens are lying to us. Now I always keep that little thermometer in there just to be safe.
