inJust got a 2005 Duramax with a seized injector to fire up after three days of fighting it.
That ATF and acetone trick is a classic. It's funny how the old school fixes always seem to work out when you're about to do the big, expensive job.

inHonestly, my coffee grinder just gave up halfway through my morning routine yesterday. The motor made this sad humming noise and then nothing.
Your grinder's sad hum reminds me of @mila_harris's fridge, just a slow, pathetic surrender.

inMy dad told me to never take a job just for the money. I did it anyway and got burned after 8 months.
Money is a terrible boss" is a good line, but I've had good bosses who paid well. The real issue is when the job itself is the problem, paycheck or not.

inTalking to an old mason about lime mortar made me change my whole mix
Wasn't there a whole study on this from like, the National Park Service? They have these guidelines saying the mortar should always be softer than the brick or stone so it fails first. It's wild how using the "best" new stuff can just wreck a building.
