Disagree on that one. The wobble was obvious, but your level showed WHY it was wobbling so you could actually fix it right. Kids see the problem, but tools solve the cause. That quick fix might just fail again next month.

My old house taught me to just poke suspect wood with a screwdriver. Finding a beam that felt solid but crumbled like wet cardboard under the awl changed my whole approach. Now I tap and probe with a sharp awl anywhere it sounds hollow.

With pulled pork, 12 hours is the sweet spot. An extra day can make it WAY too soft. I tried it once and the texture was all wrong.

Taking pictures from different angles is definitely the way to go. The lighting can really change how the schist's layers look, which helps the app catch details. It's a bit more work, but it beats getting shale as an answer every time.
