Three different stores I've been to now all said key cutting is strictly a pro desk thing, so that idea is dead in the water. Honestly the worst part is watching some guy with a single key fumble through his pockets while ten actual contractors just stare at the ceiling tiles. I feel like they should have a separate express lane for people buying one dumb item, like a self-checkout for the hopelessly unprepared. But no, we all get to stand there together bonding over our shared regret of not just using Amazon.

Loved how raw and gritty they were compared to the clean utopian stuff above ground. The way they moved through the tunnels and that whole machine aesthetic just felt more real somehow. Plus their whole society actually had some structure to it, even if it was creepy as hell.

Spraying a little dielectric grease on the contact points before mounting fixed a similar issue for me on a saltwater condo job. Also switched to stainless steel brackets instead of the standard aluminum ones, never had a callback since.

Hold up @brooke767, just a heads up - those sprays don't have actual acid in them, it's a chemical converter that bonds with the rust, so it won't eat into good metal if you follow the directions.
