Unpopular opinion: my $85k offer got worse after I asked my mentor to look at it
A mentor with 20 years in my field read the whole thing over coffee in Austin and asked one question about the bonus clawback that made me go back and negotiate $9k more, so now I tell everyone to have someone else read their offer before signing.
