Unpopular opinion: I used to think buying a used scan tool was a bad idea, now I get it

Yeah, I've been down that road too. I was sweating bullets buying a used interface last year, but the guy I bought it from was cool about it. He logged into his account right there on his phone and showed me the de-registration confirmation email before I even handed over the cash. I wouldn't just trust someone and hope for the best unless they could prove they owned it legit with a receipt or something. Better to walk away than end up with a $400 paperweight, you know?

I was super skeptical about 'Dark' on Netflix but now I'm all in

Dude, same here with Dark but also with Breaking Bad. I skipped that show for years because I thought "bald chemistry teacher making meth" sounded like a joke. Then I caught the first episode on a hotel TV and didn't sleep until I finished season 2. Dark's timeline stuff is next level though, I remember sitting there with a notebook trying to map out who was related to who. My brain hurt so bad but in a good way. Season 2 really is where it all starts clicking together and you're like "ohhhh that's why that random 1953 scene mattered.

Stumbled on an interesting fact about lead in watercolor paints yesterday

Oh great, so I've been huffing toxic fumes over my sketchbook for years and just now finding out about it. The lead paints are still popular with oil painters because of how creamy they mix, but in watercolors that stuff can literally kill your brush and your brain cells. Guess I'll stick to my cadmium reds and cobalt blues for now, at least those won't give me lead poisoning unless I eat them.

Last Tuesday I found a 2,000 year old Roman coin in my backyard

I used to think old relics were just for museums and history buffs, never something that'd turn up in a regular backyard. Finding a 2,000 year old coin near York totally changed my mind on that, makes you wonder what else is buried under our feet.
