Saw a handwritten sign taped to a fence in Fresno that said 'park here, we tow at 8' and I'm wondering if that's even legal
Was at a taco spot off Blackstone Ave last Friday and the lot next door had a piece of cardboard duct taped to the chain link. Marker writing, said PARK HERE $5 then underneath in smaller letters 'we tow at 8'. No phone number, no company name, nothing. Paid the guy five bucks cash and he just nodded at me.
So my question is, if I had come back at 8:05 is that tow legal? Like is a cardboard sign enough notice? Or does a lot have to post the actual code section and the tow company name in letters a certain size? I remember hearing something about that but I could be making it up.
Curious if anyone here has actually fought a tow in Fresno or anywhere in the valley. Did the sign matter or did the judge just shrug it off?
