My cutterhead got wrapped in a steel cable last Thursday - worst hour of my career

davis.ruby pretty much nailed it with the bolt cutters and cussing combo. I'd add that a good angle grinder with a cutoff wheel saves time if you can get the cable to the surface and hold it steady.

Just realized I was cutting crown moulding upside down for 6 months

Happens way more than people admit. Crown moulding is a total mind-bender with the whole spring angle thing. I've seen pros scratch their heads over it too. One guy I worked with had been installing it for five years before someone pointed out he'd been cutting it upside down the whole time.

Picked up a used Kemei clipper at a swap meet and it's out-cutting my Oster 76s

Those swap meet Kemei clippers are hit or miss to be honest. I grabbed one last year and it stripped screws on the third cut. But I get the hype around cheap stuff, sometimes you get lucky with heat treat or blade alignment. Your Oster 76 is built like a tank though, its heavy and meant to run for years in a busy shop. A Kemei beating it for one haircut doesn't mean it's a better tool overall.

Took a shortcut on the Salkantay trek and almost got lost for 3 hours

Guess you found the scenic route to nowhere, congrats.

Random guy at a garage sale gave me a tip on rounding book corners that I still use 5 years later.

Right?? People act like a sanding block is just a scrap of wood but it's literally holding the sandpaper. I had someone tell me my homemade one didn't count and I was like dude it works exactly the same.
