inJust read that the Hoover Dam used enough concrete to build a two lane road from San Francisco to New York
Trying to picture that many trucks just makes my back hurt. My biggest concrete headache last week was a cracked patio slab for a rental. The scale of that dam pour is just a different world. Reading that, I feel like I've been playing in a sandbox my whole career.

inMy uncle swore by using a heat gun to strip old varnish, but it ruined my project
Slow? Try watching paint dry. Sometimes you need that heat to really get through layers of old varnish. Overnight means another whole day gone on one step. If you know what you're doing with the gun, you won't burn the wood. Speed matters when you've got a whole house to do.
