I finally got my CSS to behave after a week of tweaks

In my experience, getting CSS to work right can be a real test of patience. I was trying to make a simple layout for my first web project, and it just wouldn't line up. Your mileage may vary, but for me, it took hours each day for a full week. I kept changing little things, watching tutorials, and getting frustrated. Then, I stumbled on a tip about using flexbox instead of floats. After I switched, everything fell into place almost right away. Take this with a grain of salt, but sometimes the answer is simpler than you think.

I never expected a sheep card to be the highlight of our game night

Last Saturday, I got my family to play Settlers of Catan with me. My dad, who usually avoids games, decided to join. He misheard the rule about trading sheep and thought he needed to collect them all. For two hours, he only focused on getting sheep cards, ignoring everything else. We all laughed so much when he showed his big pile of sheep. In the end, he did not win, but everyone had fun and wants to play again. It was a small win for me as the host, seeing everyone enjoy a game together.

Vent: My vinyl plank nightmare from not letting materials adjust to room temp

Honestly, I remember rushing a luxury vinyl plank install without allowing the boxes to sit in the room first. Tbh, back then, we often skipped that step, but now I see how crucial acclimation is for preventing gaps and clicks. How do you guys handle material acclimation on tight schedules these days?
