I realized people still value fixing things over tossing them.

Absolutely agree @piper_carter80, that fixed feeling beats buying new every time. Felt great getting my old bike rolling again with just a new chain and some oil. Even saved a toaster last month by cleaning out the crumbs. Makes you respect the stuff you own more, you know? What was the last thing you managed to repair?

Notice it makes you see other broken stuff as a puzzle to solve instead of trash. Changes how you walk through the whole world.
