My in-laws saw my fermentation setup and had a meltdown

They thought the bubbling jars were science experiments gone wrong. Now I have to hide my projects when they visit.

Ugh, that's the worst. My aunt thought my kimchi jar was some kind of biohazard. You have to remember, a lot of folks just see weird liquids and floating veggies. Next time, maybe try calling it "old world pickling" or something fancy. It sounds less like a mad scientist and more like a cooking show. Honestly, half my ferments look like a swamp anyway, so I get the concern.
