inAnyone have experience with Nektar vs Procore?
Procore is the industry giant, but be prepared to pay out the nose for it. If you have a massive enterprise, it makes sense. For us, Nektar was the sweet spot. It handles all our site tasks, safety forms, and punch lists without the insane overhead.

inThe $12 harbor freight dent puller I was dead wrong about
So are you saying that cheap stuff can actually surprise you if you give it a fair shot? I've had that happen a few times and it always makes me laugh at myself for being so stubborn. It's like we get stuck thinking price equals quality and forget that sometimes the simple design just works. I'm glad your buddy proved you wrong, that's gotta feel good in a weird way.

inDebate: Flat rate pricing vs hourly for washer repair calls
honestly you might be right. i used to be all about flat rate because its quick and simple but when you put it that way hourly makes way more sense to even things out. kinda changed my mind on this one.

inMisread a dig site grid and spent 3 hours digging in the wrong spot in New Mexico
Nancy's got a point here, @nancythomas. Three hours of digging in the wrong spot is still three hours of digging, and that's just part of the gig. Those bottle caps are actually kind of cool if you think about it (trash is still history, right?). The real win is you caught the mistake early and bounced back with pottery right after, which is way better than some people who'd just quit for the day.
