Right, @carr.elliot, those things look like torture to use.

inHad to pick between a 3/8 and a 1/2 inch endmill for a weird pocket today
Last year I cut a test piece in some scrap delrin. The finish pass left these wavy lines that looked exactly like a tiny corn field. I slowed the feed rate way down and used a brand new tool for the real part.

I get what you're saying about the grit for polish, but in my experience, the sealer is the real key for slip resistance. A high gloss finish will be slick when wet no matter what. I used a matte sealer with some grit added right into the mix on my porch floor. It's way safer when it rains and still looks good. The polish level matters less than the top coat you choose.

inPSA: I was hammering way too hard on the horn of my anvil for about six months before a guy at the Tacoma hammer-in pointed out the sound was wrong.
I always thought the sound was just about how hard you hit. A friend pointed out my hammer had a dull thud when drawing out, and it clicked that I was pushing the metal instead of moving it. Now I listen for a sharper ring to know the angle is right. Fixed a lot of my taper issues once I paid attention.
