inTried using a fridge magnet to find loose screws, saved my sanity
Guess my dramatic magnet saves me from my own butterfingers, so I'm with you there despite what @milascott says.

inWhy I always make time for a real lunch on shift
Last Thursday our site had three emergency calls backed up. I ate a protein bar while driving between locations and still finished two hours earlier than if I'd stopped for a sit down meal. Sometimes the job flow really doesn't allow a full break, and forcing one can make a busy day worse. A decent snack in the truck can keep your energy up without killing momentum. Isn't it more about reading the day than having one strict rule?

inHeads up: The bridge on the Eagle Rock loop is gone, creek ford is deeper than it looks.
How far upstream did you go? I mean, I once had to walk like a quarter mile to find a spot shallow enough to cross safely.

inIf you think your pet is stubborn, you haven't met my cat during treat time.
Why does my cat take forever to decide on treats too?

inI used a receipt as a bookmark and now my book smells like garlic
Actually, that garlic smell adds some charm. A receipt bookmark gives a book character (like a time capsule for your groceries). My copy of Moby Dick smells like coffee from a diner receipt, which fits the sea adventure somehow. It's a free way to mark your page and remember little moments. Who needs fancy bookmarks when a receipt tells its own story?
