Am I the only one who chose a fiddle leaf fig over a monstera for a dark corner?

I picked the fig because the shop owner said it tolerates lower light better, and after 4 months it's actually pushing out a new leaf. What would you have gone with for a north-facing room in Seattle?

Shoutout to the guy who told me to use a thermal camera for intermittent faults

I was working on a Citation XLS last month with a random autopilot disconnect that only happened after 90 minutes of flight. I thought a thermal camera was overkill for avionics, but my buddy said to check for hot spots. Sure enough, after an hour of ground power, the camera showed one LRU running 15 degrees hotter than the others. Swapped it out and the problem was gone. Anyone else found a tool they thought was useless that actually saved a job?

I thought the 'Super Bowl ad' hype was just for big brands until our local car dealer ran one

Our small agency in Tampa convinced a local Ford dealer to buy a 30 second spot in the big game this year, and I was sure it would be a waste of their $7 million. But the phone started ringing during the fourth quarter and they sold 47 cars in the next 48 hours, which is insane for them. It completely flipped my view on who that kind of reach is for. Has anyone else seen a smaller client pull off a huge splash like that?

Can we talk about pets and car rides after my dog's window obsession today?

Today, my dog spent an hour with his head out the car window on a quick drive to the store. He was so happy, but it reminded me of our longer trip last month. Some folks say pets love road trips and seeing new things. Others worry about safety and stress from long hours in the car. My dog gets excited but also whines if we stop too much. I'm torn between taking him on adventures or leaving him home for comfort. What do you all think about pets on road trips?
