Why does nobody talk about wrist care for drywall sanding?
My wrists hurt a lot after sanding for hours on end. It messes with my sleep and makes the next day tough. What do you guys do to keep your wrists from getting sore?

Man, I started using basic wrist wraps like weightlifters wear. That support made a huge difference and I finally stopped waking up with that ache.

A lot of folks miss how your grip pressure affects wrist strain. Tbh, holding the sander too tight is a common mistake. Ngl, I switched to a lighter touch and my wrists thanked me. Honestly, it's about letting the tool do the work instead of forcing it. Try relaxing your hands more during long sessions and see if it helps.

My old foreman taught me to change my sanding direction every 15 minutes. Going from circles to straight up and down, then side to side, uses different muscles so no single tendon gets fried. It totally lines up with what @butler.kevin said about a lighter grip, because you're not locked into one motion. I also set a timer on my phone to force short breaks to shake out my hands. That combo saved me from the worst of the pain.
