Warning: My delivery van broke down on the way to a 200-person wedding in Asheville
It was last Saturday, and I had the entire floral setup for the ceremony and reception in the back. The van just stopped on the highway about 15 miles from the venue. I had to call three other local shops to help with emergency transport, and we barely made it in time. What's your backup plan for a major vehicle failure on a big job?

My last attempt at that was a disaster, the board flipped and I ended up giving my date a handful of broken stems and a single sad daisy. It looked like a prop from a really low budget zombie movie. I'm pretty sure the skate shop still has duct tape residue on their floor from where I tried to fix the whole mess. Some people just aren't meant to combine romance and wheels.

Forget the board, the real crime is trying to fix anything with duct tape on a shop floor. That stuff leaves a ghost forever. Honestly, the single sad daisy is kind of a vibe though, like a weirdly honest symbol of how the night actually went. Maybe the move is to just hand them the broken stems next time and say "art project".
