inMy 8-year-old nephew asked me why we call it a 'boiler' when it doesn't boil anything anymore.
You're right about the name sticking for the core job. It reminds me of how I still say I'm going to "tape" a show on my digital recorder. The old name just hangs on, even when it makes me sound a bit silly.

inHad a 6.7 Powerstroke high pressure fuel pump grenade on me last Tuesday... $8500 later and I'm still mad about it.
Know it feels that way but the warranty is just a legal promise. Stuff is designed to fail much earlier now. They call it planned obsolescence. Companies build things with cheap parts on purpose. Makes you buy a new one every few years. It's a real business plan, not an accident.

inCan we talk about the guy who told me my pour over method was wrong at the Portland cafe
Tell him to start his own cafe if he wants to be the pour over police. Some people just can't handle seeing others enjoy things their own way.
