A random guy at the gas pump saved my whole Saturday

I was filling up in Boise, totally stuck on a quote for a big deck cleaning job, when the man at the next pump saw my pressure washer in the truck and asked if I ever used a downstream injector for soap. He explained his whole setup in two minutes, which I tried that afternoon, and it cut my chemical application time by half. Has anyone else had a stranger just hand them the perfect piece of advice out of nowhere?

Wait, he just explained a whole downstream injector setup in two minutes at a gas pump? My brain would have melted. I need like a whiteboard and three YouTube videos to get that stuff. That guy must have been some kind of pressure washing wizard passing through town.

Honestly, it's just a soap injector. You hook a tube to a chemical jug and the pressure difference pulls it in. People make it sound like rocket science. It's the same basic idea as a garden sprayer, just with more water pressure. If a guy at a pump explained it fast, he probably just uses one a lot, not some genius.

Two minutes? That's wild. I'd need him to draw it on a napkin at least twice.
