TIL those cheap plastic patio chairs fade in like 2 months...

I got a set of 4 resin chairs from Lowe's for $120 back in May and by July they were already this dusty gray color, anyone else had luck with a spray paint that actually sticks to that slick plastic without peeling off after a week?

That "forgotten lawn ornament" comment hit home because I used to think any spray paint would fix it, but after watching my neighbor's chairs turn into a peeling disaster I just let mine be gray now.

Painted one of those white resin chairs with Krylon Fusion and it actually held up pretty good for about a year before I left it out in a hailstorm that did more damage than the sun ever did.

Haha yeah that "dusty gray" look is exactly what happened to mine, I call it the "forgotten lawn ornament" aesthetic now. I tried the Krylon Fusion on a cheap side table last summer and it actually stuck pretty good too, but I prepped it wrong and now it has this weird orange peel texture that makes it look like I painted it while blindfolded. Honestly I just accept the faded look at this point, it matches my lack of curb appeal perfectly.

Had a friend who tried that Krylon Fusion on a patio table and it peeled off in these weird strips after one winter, @vera_palmer - she ended up spraying on truck bed liner instead and now it looks like a parking lot curb stop at her cookouts.
