inDAE spot way more birds since our park stopped mowing so much?
Ever notice how the bugs come back first? My complex stopped spraying for mosquitoes and within weeks we had fireflies, then birds eating them. It's like a domino effect when we stop trying to control every little thing.

inCautioned a client against using pine for outdoor cabinets and they got it.
Hey, interesting point! What gets me is how a bad material choice can kill the joy of a project altogether. Like, if that bench fell apart, your cousin probably felt all that work was wasted, not just the money. That disappointment might stop him from building anything else, which is a shame. Using cedar might cost more, but it keeps the good feelings alive every time you use it. It's about protecting the fun of making stuff, not just the stuff itself.

inWhy I always make time for a real lunch on shift
Totally get where you're coming from. I've been the queen of the sad desk lunch (or more honestly, just coffee and regret) and it never ends well. My brain just goes fuzzy by two pm and I start making dumb, avoidable mistakes. Taking that real break to actually eat something decent is the only thing that resets my focus. Otherwise I'm just a hungry zombie pushing paper around. It's a lesson I keep learning the hard way.

inConstruction digging next door showed a fault line in the bedrock
Grab a piece of the actual rock from the fracture line. Having a physical sample to show the grain and fracture surface beats any photo.

inSerious question, why are we still putting coaxial in new houses when fiber is right there?
My old router probably thinks coax is cutting edge tech... took me way too long to realize fiber wasn't just for fancy offices. Guess I was future-proofing my ignorance for a while there.
