DAE spot way more birds since our park stopped mowing so much?

I walk my dog in the local park every morning, and last year they cut the grass less often. Now there are tall patches with wildflowers everywhere. I started seeing birds I never noticed before, like sparrows and finches. It clicked that letting nature do its thing helps with carbon storage in the soil. Plus, it needs less gas for lawnmowers, which is a win. I looked it up, and it's called rewilding or something. Kinda cool how a simple policy shift can boost local wildlife and cut emissions.

Ever notice how the bugs come back first? My complex stopped spraying for mosquitoes and within weeks we had fireflies, then birds eating them. It's like a domino effect when we stop trying to control every little thing.

Yeah, the part about the tall patches with wildflowers really hits home. My neighbor basically stopped mowing his yard last summer, called it a "natural habitat," and it was a total eyesore at first. But now there's a bunch of rabbits living in there, just hopping around at dusk. It's kind of amazing how fast the animals move in when we just step back a little. Makes you wonder what else we're missing by keeping everything so tidy all the time.
