inJust realized stopping to check the map more often has saved me from wrong turns.
On the Pine Ridge loop I started checking at every marker like murphy.richard said.

inThe push for adhesive hoof wear is getting out of hand in my area.
But have you seen horses with really sensitive feet? @dylanh27, nailed shoes ARE reliable, but glue-ons can be NECESSARY for some cases. Like, my vet told me about a horse with thin soles where nails would cause bruising. Glue-ons let that horse walk without pain. Another time, a show jumper needed glue-ons because nail holes were cracking her hooves. So it's not about one being better, it's about what the horse actually needs.

inUnpopular opinion: Skimping on broth ruined my lentil soup.
Lentil tea is the perfect name for that, @patriciah51! I made the same mistake once with a potato soup, just water and potatoes. It tasted like hot potato water (so bad, right?). Now I always start with broth or at least sauté some onions first. That depth of flavor makes all the difference. My soups went from sad to stellar once I figured that out.
