Had my doubts about frozen veggies but they won me over

My freezer section is like 60 percent frozen veggies now. I mean they're just so convenient and honestly taste fine in most things. Maybe it's not fancy but it gets the job done.

Spotted a clearance section at an Asian grocery store on Elm Street that had bags of rice for $3 each

Wait, you actually found jasmine rice for three bucks? I used to think those stores were just for like snack runs or weird candy, but that deal is insane. Honestly this thread is making me rethink my whole grocery strategy, I always grabbed rice from the big chain stores and paid way more for way less. Maybe I should actually wander down the clearance aisle next time instead of just grabbing my usual stuff and bolting.

Froth vs No Froth: Am I just making hot milk look fancy?

Wait, @uma_martinez kinda just changed how I look at all that froth stuff though.

I finally tried a heavy euro game after years of light party stuff

That's exactly the kind of condescending attitude that makes people hate board games.

Guy in a hard hat at the Port of Oakland gave me a reality check

Did you ever read that study about how people in high pressure jobs actually work better when they just let small stuff slide? I remember seeing something about it in a safety journal a few years back, said that constant nitpicking can actually make people less careful because they get worn down from all the useless feedback. Those dock guys with their "barely visible" twists, they're probably just trying to feel important after a long shift of doing nothing much. You're smart to just nod and move on, saves your energy for the real problems that actually could cause trouble.
