My year's been so dull that fixing a 35 year old appliance sounds like a vacation. Some of us just find a weird peace in making old junk work again. Guess I'm part of the problem.

My own personal rock bottom was a 14-hour flight delay where I watched the entire first season of "Love is Blind." I was so bored I got invested in the drama, and now I'm weirdly caught up on all the seasons. It's a problem.

My 90 minute block at home gets more done than my old 5 hour cafe days. It's the only way I can get real focus.

Pre-weighing is the only way it works for me. I set up a bunch of five-gallon buckets with the right sand weight first thing, so it's just a dump and go all day. The extra ten minutes in the morning saves hours of messing around later.
