inMy photo trick for motherboard repairs cut my callbacks
You were doing all that from memory before? That's wild! I can't even remember what I had for breakfast. I'd for sure mix up a fan header with a front panel connector, and then the power button wouldn't work. Taking a picture is such a simple fix, I'm shocked you ever tried it the other way. That must have saved you so much headache.

inThe quiet satisfaction of helping my uncle with his beard
That kitchen table tutorial probably meant more to her uncle than a hundred salon appointments. Sometimes people just need to be shown a little care, even for simple things. Maybe ease up on telling others what should or shouldn't make them happy.

inCan we talk about fixing up bikes instead of buying new ones?
Absolutely, and @corablack nailed it with the community benefit. Last year I fixed up three abandoned bikes from my street. One was a rusty ten-speed that just needed new tires and grease. Seeing my friend use it daily instead of driving her kids to school feels really good.

inOne job showed me the value of a simple soil check
Root issues often hide below ground where you can't see them. A quick probe takes minutes but avoids thousands in repair bills later. Calling it overkill ignores how cheap prevention is compared to fixing wrecked property.
