Spent $300 on a meal kit service for a month and it actually saved me money

You're right about not having to think about dinner being the real win. My brain just gives up after 5pm. I would probably just eat cereal for every meal if someone didn't plan it for me. The meal kit box showing up is like a friendly intervention. It stops me from staring into the fridge and then ordering a pizza out of pure frustration.

I saw three posts today that missed the whole point of a 'small win'

Oh man, my friend had the same thing happen! He kept posting these super serious work thoughts, but a picture of his dog sleeping got way more replies. It really shows people just want a little slice of normal life sometimes.

My husband swore frozen hash brown patties would crisp up in the air fryer, and I was sure he was wrong.

That frozen hash brown win is real. My weird one is frozen fish sticks. I always thought they'd get soggy or dry, but they come out like they're from a diner, crispy outside and still moist. It made me try other frozen battered stuff I'd written off. The air fryer seems to fix the sogginess that a regular oven can't beat. What's the most surprising frozen thing you've brought back from the freezer graveyard?

Finally caved and bought a $40 local SIM card in Lisbon after my roaming plan got drained in a day.

Yeah @emmawood, the grocery store tip is smart. I mean, it's way less stressful than dealing with a phone shop. Just grab a SIM with some snacks and you're good.

I thought those crystal facial rollers were just a pretty Instagram thing

Like @the_susan said, it's the simple old things that work best sometimes.
