inHad to pick between a fresh blade or a good lunch break yesterday
Three out of five people I know have done this exact thing: skipped lunch to get something done, then regretted it two hours later when they're hangry and the job is half finished. It's like we all have this weird pride in being "too busy to eat" when really we're just terrible at planning ahead. My buddy Mike does it with oil changes, figures he'll grab a bite while his car is up on the lift. Then he's starving by the time the filter is off, rushing through the whole job and dripping oil on his sandwich. The secret is admitting the hunger wins every time, so you might as well feed it first.

inVent: Wasted $400 on a controller board that didn't match my cab
Boy howdy, you hit the nail on the head about those retrofit gremlins. What gets me is that nobody ever thinks to check if the previous repair crew swapped out the main processor years ago without updating the building docs. That one missing paper trail can cost you a whole day and a lot of frustration before you even figure out what's going on.

inPSA: That cheap HVAC filter subscription turned out to be a scam
FilterTime sent me the wrong size three times before I gave up and just cut the card they had on file. Their customer service kept promising a fix but never followed through.

inTried local meetups vs online groups for 6 months and the winner was clear
But those stiff handshakes turned into real jobs for me down the road.

Is it just me or does "saving time" on the bus actually mean just finding a different way to drink your coffee while staring out the window? I tried the whole "doing work emails on the bus" thing once and ended up accidentally hitting reply all to my boss's weekly update. Trust me, nothing humbles you quite like explaining to your entire department why you typed "those numbers look wrong" with a sleepy bus face. I respect the hustle but my brain just seems to turn into mashed potatoes the second that bus starts moving. Honestly, 20 minutes shaved off sounds amazing but I'd probably just use that time to panic about the emails I forgot to send.
