Had a guy at a taco truck tell me his life story while we waited in line for 15 minutes

I was at this taco truck in Austin off South Congress last Saturday, and some older dude just started talking to me about how he used to run a food truck in the 90s before it was cool. He said 'I sold burritos out of a beat-up van, and now kids pay $15 for a fancy tortilla with truffle oil.' Has anyone else had random strangers at food trucks just unload their whole history on you?

So 'before it was cool' - did you tip him for the story?

Did you at least get a discount on your tacos?

@nancythomas maybe we're overthinking a burrito story.
