Always thought those flower food packets were just colored sugar water

My boss at the shop in Springfield made me use them on every bouquet for a full week, and the roses I cut on Monday still looked fresh on Friday, which never happens. I guess the stuff that keeps the water clean really does work (who knew). Anyone have a good bulk supplier for the powder kind, or is the liquid concentrate better?

Who knew" is the start of most useful knowledge.

Ever notice how the best discoveries come from just saying "huh" out loud? I keep a notebook for those little moments when something doesn't add up. Half the time, the answer was sitting right there, waiting for someone to be confused enough to look at it sideways.

Exactly. That phrase is basically the sound of a lightbulb going off. It's how we learned the earth wasn't flat or that germs cause disease. Someone had a moment, questioned the obvious thing everyone accepted, and everything changed. Most big leaps start with someone admitting they didn't know something was even possible.
