Figured out how to make LinkedIn work for Edmonton networking
Kept getting overwhelmed by too many irrelevant profiles. Set up a saved search with Edmonton as the location and my industry. It cuts out the noise and focuses on local leads.

That's a solid move. It's the same idea as filtering your social feeds or even your email. You set up rules to let the good stuff through. My grocery app does this, only showing deals from my local store instead of every flyer in the city. Cutting out the noise is basically the main skill needed online now.

Yeah, and it's not just online either, @dakota_burns83. You see it with stuff like streaming services where you have to pick your channels. The whole game now is building your own tiny, quiet corner of the world because the main feed is useless. Getting good at that filter is the real work.

Totally, it's the only way to function. I do the same thing with my news app, I had to mute like twenty topics just to see local stuff and sports. The default settings are always set to show you everything, and you gotta dig in and change them yourself.
